Tämä asu oli viime viikonlopun uniformuni ja mukavuudesta ei ainakaan tarvinnut tinkiä. Rakastan tätä aikaa vuodesta kun ilma ei ole vielä liian kuuma tai kylmä ja pelkällä neuleella pärjää hyvin. Jos saisin päättää, niin kesä voisi jatkua näillä hillityillä asteilla loppuun asti. Huivit ovat yksi lempiasusteistani ja onneksi niistäkään ei tarvitse luopua lämpötilojen noustessa. Tämä Balmuirin Dawn* pellava-silkki huivi on kesällä mitä ihanin ja se tuo ryhdikkyyttä mihin tahansa asuun. Se onkin roikkunut kaulassani lähes joka päivä ja epäilen, että se matkustaa mukanani Ranska-Suomi väliä koko kesän ajan.

Toinen asia mikä on ollut päälläni non-stop (tai oikeastaan jalassani) ovat nämä slippers malliset balleriinat Butterfly Twists merkiltä. Merkki oli itselleni täysin uusi tuttavuus, mutta kun sain heiltä postissa kokeiluun nämä balleriinat, niin siitä asti ne ovat pysyneet tiiviisti jalassani. Kenkien sisällä on pehmusteet ja pohja on kumia, joten näiden täytyy olla heittämällä kaappini mukavimmat kengät. Ne menevät myös todella pieneen tilaan (ovat ns. taitettavat) ja etenkin reissuille ne ovat täydelliset kaverit.

This outfit was my uniform last weekend and at least I stayed very comfortable if nothing else. I love this time of the year when it’s not too warm or cold and you can go out with just a light knit. If I could decide, I would hope for the entire summer to be like this. Scarves are one of my favorite accessory and I’m happy I don’t have to give them up during summer. This Dawn linen-silk scarf from Balmuir is the perfect companion during warmer weather and I love how it adds nice texture to any look. I have to admit that it’s been hanging around my neck almost daily since I got it.

Another thing that I’ve been wearing almost non-stop are these ballet-pumps from Butterfly Twists. These shoes have to be the most comfortable pair in my closet, as the inside is padded – it’s like walking on mini airbags, heh. I also love how they fit in a small bag, which makes them perfect to bring along when wearing high heels for example. I have to admit that sometimes I change my heels into flats in the late hours, as my feet can’t bear it anymore. Now I’ll have these to change into and still look sharp.

Täällä ilmat ovat viilentyneet ihan selvästi ja nämä taitavat olla viimeiset asukuvat vähään aikaan, jossa olen pukeutunut pelkästään neuletakkiin. Nyt saan taas kaivaa talvivarusteet kaapista ja kiskaista pipon kunnolla päähän. Vaikka talvi ei ole lempivuodenaikani, niin en kyllä voi valittaa paikallisesta talvesta (ainakaan suomalaisille, heh). Saisin takaisin aikamoiset silmien pyörittelyt. Totuus on se, että vaikka täällä voi olla hyvinkin kylmä (kostea kylmyys, joka menee luihin asti), niin silti se ei ole verrattavissa kotimaan paukkupakkasiin ja sankaan lumisateeseen. Pidän siis suosiolla suuni kiinni ja nautin tästä lauhemmasta talvesta!

Nämä bootsit ja farkut eivät taida lähteä päältäni sitten millään, sillä niin tiiviisti molemmat ovat olleet käytössäni. Samoin tämä Chanelin pikkuinen laukku. Pienestä koostaan huolimatta se imee itseensä kaiken tarpeellisen, on kevyt kantaa ja helppo heittää olalle. Tuota hihnaa pystyy vielä helposti lyhentämään (esim. näissä kuvissa se on lyhennettynä), joten laukku on yllättävän monipuolinen. Saa nähdä pääseekö se ulkoilemaan tänä viikonloppuna ollenkaan ja vähän epäilen sitä.

Ensimmäinen opiskeluviikko on nimittäin vienyt kaikki mehuni (nyt olen huomattavasti vaativammassa ryhmässä), joten tämä viikonloppu menee itselläni lähinnä rentoutuessa. Viltin alle käpertyminen hyvän viinilasillisen kanssa ei kyllä kuullosta yhtään hullummalta suunnitelmalta juuri nyt.

I have a feeling this will be the last outfit for a while without a proper coat. Now the weather got much colder, so it’s back to real winter gear. Even if winter is not my favorite season (it’s actually my least favorite), I just can’t complain about it while living here. Coming from Finland where winter equals freezing cold temperatures and snow storms, I should consider myself lucky to be living in a place where this does not happen. And I do.

These jeans and boots are glued to my legs and feet, because I have been wearing them non-stop ever since I bought them. The same goes for this little Chanel bag. Despite it’s mini size, it actually fits all my essentials and beside that, it’s so light to carry. I love it!

I can’t wait for this evening and my plan is to park myself on the couch with a good glass of wine and just be for a minute. It takes a moment to adjust to studying again after the holidays and now that I’m on a harder level, it’s definitely not a walk in the park. Taking the evening to relax is just what the doctor ordered.
