I feel like our vacation was all about admiring beautiful architecture. First the Grand Mosque and then Louvre (we also had drinks opposite the presidential palace, which was enormous). When we first saw pictures of the new Louvre in Abu Dhabi, we knew we had to visit this place. It looked beautiful in photos, but it was even more stunning in real life. Our jaws just dropped to the floor, because it was just so stunning! We both love modern architecture, so no wonder we loved it so much. I would also say that the building is so amazing, that the art inside gets a second place. At least I was admiring more the building than the art to be honest. The best part was also exiting the museum and entering the courtyard of the courtyard. The crazy roof made us feel like we were on another planet. This building is definitely worth a visit and a reason to go to Abu Dhabi!

By the way, I used to work for Richemont in Paris at Fondation Cartier and Jean Nouvel had designed that building and he is also the architect behind this magnificent building. Both stunning work of his!
